2011 China Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Industry and Capital Market Forum Held in Beijing(Peope.com-Environmental Protection Channel)

BY Jiang Qi @ people.com, Beijing June 24: 2011 China Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection (ECEP) Industry and Capital Market Forum was held in Beijing today. The forum will initiate hot discussion on accelerating and expanding development of energy efficiency and environmental protection industry around the theme of financial innovation based on capital market.

Chen Shuguang, vice president of China Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Group (CECEPG) mentioned in the speech of “Jointly promoting energy conservation and environmental protection industry gearing into capital market” that the upcoming “National Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Development Plan” will explicitly emphasize ECEP industry as “a new growth pole of national economy” and propose the ECEP development targets, missions and policies during the 12th Five Year Plan. The initiatives mentioned above indicated that ECEP will gain long-term policy support from 2010 to 2020. While the central and local governments are constantly enhancing industry investment, a massive market share will emerge, allowing for growth space for ECEP industry.

As the sponsor of this forum, CECEPG is engaged in creating a platform for domestic and international capital market to understand ECEP industry and jointly seek the opportunity to boost industry development driven by capital market and raising the influence of ECEP industry in domestic and international capital market.
